Frida doll RR Posted by Hello

First Frida ready to go

This is Karen's Frida doll. I added a mouth, hands made from shrink plastic, beads around her wrist and some fringe along the bottom of her skirt. Ready to mail tomorrow and move on to the next project. Her hand reads "Fear No Art". I may put another message on her other hand, not sure yet.

Having fun in art class Posted by Hello

Flat Jody and Flat Dorothy go to art class

Decided to take some flat friends to class this morning. The two brothers just love having their picture taken. We had such a good time. They get such a kick out of having these "flat visitors" come to class and we get so silly.

Colorerratica books

The two books I worked on...one being a book, as in altered book, which I really enjoy doing. I like having a word or phrase to jump off from. I did three pages in this book. Her colors were blue and green.
The other book is Laurie Z's who does such beautiful calligraphy! Her book was aqua and red with the ocean as a theme...I had fun with this but I would have liked to do more. Should I mail late????

A little blurry, but the paint was so shiny that I had to turn the flash off. Posted by Hello

This is in Louise's book also. I comes after the tree pose page. Posted by Hello

My brother Frank who works his magic in my mom's yard. Posted by Hello

coolest thing just happened

When I was posting the pictures, these pink hearts came flying off the page. 5 from the bleeding hearts, but nothing with Dorothy in the tree. Figured out the key word was when I typed the work heart. I did that with the rock too. How cool was that!!!! I wonder if it does it with anything else. Such fun. Magic hearts for sure. Happy Mother's Day.

One of my painted rocks near the pond. The paint lasted a long time on this. One special heart Posted by Hello

Flat Dorothy goes to Frank's receptioin

Frank had his art reception today and after a while, Aunt Lucille asked where my flat friend was. I just received Dorothy, but I also still have Deepa. What was I thinking??? I ran home to gather them all up and they got to be part of the reception. Of course when I got back, first thing Carol pointed out was the wine stain. Some lady came in and poured herself some wine, but evidently missed her cup....So of course, we need to make the best of a bad situation..Photo OP!!! And of course, I always have some "explaining" to do. "No this is not a cult!" It's always fun getting together. I think Dorothy had her eye on this particular painting of a lotus.

I like this one...How much?? Posted by Hello

2 projects completed and ready to send

I'm mailing out two RR projects. One is a bendi doll that's supposed to be Frida Khalo. I started her out fairly plain. We'll see how she ends up. The other is a Flat self RR. Both of these are going out tomorrow, late, but hey, not as bad as some people have been with some of the RR's I'm in. I needed to stay in this weekend and create. When I did go out "there" it wasn't too productive anyway...... Next project to go out the door is Deepa.
